Dearest readers,

while I was flying back from a cross-cultural training in Chicago on Wednesday night, my husband had to call the fire brigade because apparently lightning struck so close that our flat took the brunt of it. Yes, buying a lottery ticket has crossed our minds!

We’re safe. Most light bulbs blew out, appliances died, and smoke out of walls convinced us that moving up our planned local move is a good idea. So that’s what we’re doing, and that leaves me little time and means to regale you with something more elaborate. Lovely as the iPhone is, typing long texts is no fun.

Fingers crossed my bag from Chicago will make it here soon, and that Earthlink can set up internet in our new place asap.
